We know how hard it can be to find a starting point.
We’re parents of two children diagnosed with autism. At the start of our journey, things felt overwhelming. We didn’t know where to look, or even what we didn’t know yet.
Information was scattered, unclear and hard to find. The most helpful things we learnt came from parents further along the journey, from health professionals, and from our own research.
Why we made Make SENse
Our children's autism diagnoses introduced us to a wider SEN system that can be hard to navigate. We wanted a clearer starting point in one place. Make SENse helps families explore health, education and benefits information without piecing it all together alone.
Our free tools are for parents and carers navigating SEN in England and Wales, before or after a diagnosis. They offer general guidance, not a diagnosis or a promise of support.
